Dear Partner

Dear Partner,

It's Thanksgiving and there's a strange feeling in the air. By observation, I see family ties beginning to unravel.

The need to have loved one's close seemingly is not as necessary as only a few years ago. The elderly are unable to get involved as they once could, the middle aged will enjoy the food should the wife be able to cook, but very few will observe the passion of what the day represents. The younger will desire to be with friends rather than spend the funds to travel.

It is doubtful if any semblance to the past Thanksgiving table can be reestablish Very few in the United States understand what events should occur on this designated day. Therefore, no one can lay a foundation when the young do not care.

There are very many who will be traveling and just maybe most of these are going to loved ones for a time of peace, joy and reuniting. Prayerfully, this will be the result.

It is doubtful if many will truly pause and thank the Lord for His bounty that long has rested over this land. Is it any wonder that the United States is in such an unsettled condition. I hope part of the meal prayer should one be given be for God to forgive this country before they ask God to bless this country.

I truly believe that we of Rapha will approach the day with humility, with thanksgiving and a truly grateful heart as we consume the Lord's bounty. I believe this will happen because Rapha's heart is turned toward the Lord. May you have a happy and blessed Thanksgiving.

My prayer for us all,

Dr. Lee
