Dear Partner
Dear Partner,
Today, the Jews are celebrating Yom Kippur. It began on October 1st, when the first evening stars began to appear. It will end today when the sun sets.
To them, it is their Day of Atonement. They will pray to have God cover their sin. However, God will not hear them as a nation, because God has put a veil over their national face, it will continue until the time of the Gentiles be fulfilled. This will be the rapture of the church.
Jews today can get saved but under what New Covenant salvation demands. This will free them from much of Judaism's faults.
There are Messianic Jews who believe that Jesus is God. However, they dislike being called Christians. They keep some of the Old Testament laws such as worshipping on Saturday, have synagogues, Rabbis and some congregations allow women to lead worship. They say that the New Testament has not made the Old Testament obsolete.
Rapha contends that these only have a form of Christianity and that they are deceived. We feel a few things limit them from being Christians, such as not following Jesus' commands, they declare that Jesus is only one person who is God. the Bible dictates that the Father is God, Jesus is God, and the Holy Spirit is God. Yet, the Bible declares that there is only one God - the Trinitarian Theology.
Atonement to the Jews means a covering for sins that has to be done yearly. The atonement concept is addressed in the New Covenant. In Romans 5:11, it signifies that atonement means to be at one with Christ. For clarification, New Covenant conversion declares all sins are forgiven not to be remembered. "If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: all things are passed away: behold all things are become new."(2 Corinthians 5:17). The atonement in the New Covenant indicates the one is at one with Christ. Of course this is not an exhaustive term. It is to be in harmony with the totality of God.
Today's world is in evil flux. Most people are exhausted mentally and long for a measure of stability in their soul. This is available for them should they reach for that inner voice that leads to the Prince of Peace.
Thanks to every one of you, Rapha continues to reach thousands with delivery information. We have instituted a new thrust called Rapha's Reflection. This is a podcast rendering through which we at times address certain issues with biblical truths.
Our new booklets on scriptural items are sources of concentrated information that are being well-received. We are so excited to be allowed by God to reach into every area around the world, even in pagan countries.
Thanks to each of you for helping these things to occur.
