Planting Seeds Within

We excel in writing or speaking through repeated practice. The only way we become proficient in anything is through knowledge with corresponding or complementary action.

To develop flawless, unsurpassed, absolute, unwavering faith is done in exactly the same process. Practice, practice and more practice of what you learned. Nothing can compare to learning God which is the Word of God! Faith grows, matures, expands and enlarges through practice. Take one faith verse and do it. The same way you started writing your A and then B. and then C, practicing your handwriting until you were satisfied with it which took years. Not a day, or a week or even a month. It took years before you got efficient and competent. Right?

Faith is no different. It is not too late to start with your faith journey. We all have to start somewhere and sometime. Now is the time!

I will share with you some faith-building scriptures. Read them, know them, write them, memorize one at a time, believe that it is accurate and verifiable.

Test it and prove it by doing what it asks of you so you have your own personal experience which will become your testimony of the reality and accuracy of God’s promises. You can reason with Him, He is clear on that. Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD.[1] You can test God, he asked you to do it.  Prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.[2]

The following are some examples of faith -building verses you can study. We begin in the book of Matthew.  Make sure you invite the Holy Spirit to guide you and reveal Himself to you.

[1] Isaiah 1:18

[2] Malachi 3:10

Matthew 8:2-3 Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean….I will; be thou clean.

Matthew 8:7   I will come and heal him.

Matthew 8:13 Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee.

Matthew 8:16 he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick.

Matthew 8:17 Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

Matthew 9:2   Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Thy sins be forgiven thee.

Matthew 9:22 Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole.

Matthew 9:29 According to your faith be it unto you.

Matthew 15:28 O woman, great is thy faith: be it done unto thee even as thou wilt.

Matthew 17:20 If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to. Yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Matthew 18:19 If two of you shall agree one earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer believing, ye shall receive.

If you are in need of healing, look no farther.

All the doctors in the world cannot equal the God who heals us. Every doctor is limited by his own knowledge and experience. The doctors can prescribe something that is good only for the body or for the mind, and not for all the three beings in you. That kind of treatment is never effective  because we are a triune being, made of body, soul and spirit. God has no limit. He created us and He knows how to fix us. When God heals, it is for the body, soul and spirit There is no need to worry whether there will be side effects, or if it is a temporary fix, or if you need to take anything else, etcetera. God is able to make you whole.

God planted a desire in my heart to venture out into gardening. I had no idea how and where to begin. I tried strawberry planting before and never got one berry. I tried planting flowers before and every plant died. I gave up because it was costing too much money and time and absolutely zero return. Then, when God birthed my love for organic vegetables and herbs, all of a sudden, information started pouring in about gardening. First, the internet became my main teacher. Next, my brother who lives about 200 miles away started sharing his knowledge and offered to plant stuff for me. Blessings were literally pouring in. Money was available for this project, time was at my disposal, a good gardening area was provided. Hey, how can I refuse?

Before anything else registered in my overcrowded brain, I already had everything ready to begin my gardening adventure. Friends and neighbors were impressed at how “things” were looking. Well, a few years later, I am enjoying a beautiful oasis of flowers, fruit trees, herbs and vegetables. I have been able to share with neighbors the produce that God provided me. God also opened the door wherein I’ve been able to share the message of true health. I say, I have bountiful results this time. All because of God. To God be the glory!

The Word is the Seed. God had to teach me the art of planting and how to reap the reward. He taught me to value seeds and store them properly for a good harvest later. The real seed He wants me to plant is the Word. I learned a lot about God during my gardening training. It is my desire to now share an appreciation to seed planting. Everywhere I look, whatever stage of plant growth I see, the climate/weather variabilities, the soil’s health, the presence of pests and pesticides, daily changes of atmosphere, plant health points directly to the awesome and majestic God and His abiding presence. Truly a marvelous experience.

If I want to harvest guava fruits, I need to plant guava seeds. Planting watermelon or cantaloupe seeds will not produce guava fruits, no matter how well I follow the instructions of gardening. It is the same thing when it comes to what we want in our life. If we want a happy, healthy life, we must plant seeds that will produce happiness and health. There is no substitute or proxy whatsoever.

Are there seeds for happiness or health? Absolutely! whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he.[1] The trust seed is what you need to plant inside of you. Water it, nurture it, attend to it, daily, asking God to help you. Here’s another seed. He that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he.[2]  Check this seed out. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.[3] One more seed I can share. For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.[4]There are so many happy seeds in the Bible. It’s your turn to gather them.

A whole book can be written on health seeds, but still will not be enough to cover everything. I shared a few which might be added to yours. It will be a delightful journey to look for more spiritual seeds and then plant them one at a time.
