Thought for Today… Hey, Younger me, Listen up!
I have said the if I had only, what if I had not done that, and I am sure that you have also. I wonder sometimes, if I could go back, knowing what I do now, and talk to the younger me, what would I say? If you could do the same, what would you say? I would sit myself down, take me by the shoulders and say to myself at the tender young age of 12 when I was saved, to take hold of the Lord’s hand, seek fervently His direction and never take your eyes off of Him. Well, unfortunately, we tend not to do that until we make many mistakes, suffer the consequences and finally see we cannot do anything without the Lord. I would tell myself that nothing or no one defines who I am but Christ, He is my identity. I would say, that when God directs me in a different direction than what people think I should go, follow God’s direction, His ways are always perfect. I would tell myself, that I do not have to conform to the world’s measure of looks, that God made me beautiful in His eyes and that is all that matters. I could go on and on as I am sure you could also. What matters now, is that we are saved by Grace, we have learned the lessons from our mistakes and go before the Lord before any kind of decision no matter how big or small needs to be made. God loves us too much to leave us where we are so, He will allow trials to come. But when we go before His Throne in prayer for direction, He is The Mighty God that fights as the Lion of Judah for His children.

No matter what is in your past, you are an overcomer if you are in Christ, walk in the new creation you are by the Blood of Christ. Keep your life before God’s Throne, let Him direct in His perfect way He has for you.
