We Need to Forgive Ourselves

How many times do we say to ourselves “if I would have only done things different”. No matter how much we long to go back and change mistakes it cannot be done. Remember, everyone makes mistakes, we all have regrets. Lets look at others just like us that thought the “if i had only:.

First is Paul, a strong witness for Christ. But, before his conversion he persecuted the church. On his journey on the road to Damascus he was made a new man, all his past was forgiven by God, he was given a clean canvas for God to start with.

If Paul had not been able to forgive himself, he would have not been able to be a strong witness for Christ.

Second is David, if he had continued to berate himself over his sin with Bathsheba, telling himself he was unworthy of serving God, he would not have been able to lead Israel. He is known as a man after God’s own heart.

Saints, we have to stop allowing the father of lies, satan, to lie to us by telling us we are unworthy. We were bought with a price, The Blood of Christ. We are the Redeemed. Lets step into seeing ourselves as God see’s us through the veil of The Blood of Christ… forgiven, justified, cleansed, redeemed, perfect in the eyes of God because of His Son, our Saviour Jesus The Christ.
