How can I enjoy life if I don’t feel good?

  • Smile, but laugh is even better

    • With or without reason. It stimulates the brain to release happy hormones.

    • Wake up laughing or with a smile even when you don't feel like doing it for a healthier you.

    • Laugh often every day or keep a smile on your face at all times for systemic rejuvenation.

    • You exercise your lungs and abdominal muscles when you laugh. It promotes happy and healthy cells throughout your body.

  • Family/Friends

    • Choose friends who add to your joy and energy.

    • Cut off from friends who zap your emotions and energy.

    • Talk to your chosen friends and develop a lasting relationship.

    • Spend time with your family and enjoy.

    • Get involved in your family interests and activities.

  • Activity

    • Move different parts of your body every hour for 20 seconds for 8 consecutive hours optimizing heart and lungs.

    • Start a series of movements from the head down to toes to keep you limber.

    • Develop a routine of consciously moving certain muscles every hour to maintain total functional ability.

    • You release happy hormones when you maintain optimal physical activity.

  • Stimulate vagus nerve for whole-body relaxation

    • Learn 4-7-8 breathing exercises and do every hour for 8 hours.

    • Breath in for 4 seconds, hold for 7 seconds, and release slowly in no less than 8 seconds.  Exhalation takes twice as long compared to inhaling.

    • This will provide oxygen to the smallest parts of your body and prevent pain and inflammation in the process.

    • Lack of oxygen to a certain part of your body causes pain and inflammation.

    • A heart attack is due to a lack of oxygen in the heart.

    • The pain of a heart attack is due to a lack of oxygen.

  • Track your record for the day

    • Keep a notebook, date, and time your notes.

    • Check off everything that you did from your daily list.

    • Write the total number of minutes you used to move your body.

    • Write the kinds of foods you ate with an approximate amount.

    • Write the names of friends you talked to and the amount of time spent.

    • Make notations of how you felt, (sad, happy, frustrated) with a summary of the actual event.

    • Reflect on your notes on the 7th day and see where you need to adjust to achieve your goals.
