Dear Partner,

Hebrews 10:25 "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is, but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as. ye see the day approaching."

This scripture has been true ever since the Church was instituted in the closing of Jesus' incarnation. An up-to-date exhortation of this 1st century scripture better speaks to us at this time.

Consider this translation, Do not abandon assembling with the saints in various times, places and with your particular group. This is as some only do as a habit or as a custom. But, we invite them to come with us by using a pleading manner. We do this more spiritually aggressively, as we sense in our spirits and souls that a particular firmly established hour is in the making of happening.

We, at Rapha, have become spiritually impressed that a spiritual event of supernatural proportion is imminent. We are sensing the need to have those of "like precious faith" very close to us. We are beginning to feel the desire that we can exchange spiritual strengths with each other when needed. We are hearing spiritual testimonies of the loosing of non-believers' ties, even blood kin, who do not share our soulish anxiety. We have a nagging sadness that those who once were close to us do not feel our anticipation.

We share our care to those who will listen. In most cases, when we attempt to engage them with our concern, they quickly change the subject to some meaningless idea. Quickly, they seem to find an excuse to move on with their day.

Though we leave these situations with a twinge of sadness, there is a strange tranquility within our souls. We move on with our endeavors and then we retire to our place of peaceful solitude. Some of us are alone, but not really, because the Lord Jesus' words come rushing into our minds. The nameless writer of Hebrews was only the writer, but the Holy Spirit was the author. He quotes Jesus as saying, "I will never leave thee nor forsake thee."

I hope these words will comfort you.

Dr. Lee
