Dear Partner,
This coming Sunday the world will celebrate Easter. This is the designated day, though it can fall on any Sunday between March 22 - April 22. It is called Easter, which is a transliteration of "EOSTRAE." She was the fictional god of the Anglo-Saxon goddess of spring and fertility.
Easter has become the day to celebrate life. Bunnies represent fertility and eggs represent life and rebirth.
These are evil distortions of the true celebrations. The truth lies in the Passover Feast given to Israel for their deliverance from Egyptian bondage.
In Leviticus 23, the Lord said unto Moses...these are the feasts of the Lord. In the fourteenth day of the first month (this would be the lunar month) at even is the Lord's Passover...the fifteenth day is the Feast of Unleavened Bread which transpires seven days...when you come into the land which I give unto you, and ye shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest unto the priest.
Today, Easter can fall on any Sunday during the times indicated. However, Christians should celebrate the beginning of this event's sequence in their heart and soul that was ordained by God. Passover occurred and occurs on the first full moon in spring. This year 2024, the first full moon in spring fell on March 25th which was the day of Passover.
Matthew 28:1, In the end of the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week came Mary to the Sepulcher....the angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and roll back the stone...said unto the women, fear not ye...he is not here he is risen as he said, come see the place where the Lord lay.
The Lord was crucified on Friday, His spirit went to be with the Father and His soul went to preach in Seoul and His flesh lay in the tomb for three days. He did not have to spend the full seven days of unleavened bread because in Him was no leaven. So, He could go immediately into the third day, the Feast of Firstfruit. Each part of a Hebrew day counted as a full day. Each personage of the Godhead, the Father, the Spirit and Jesus raised him from the dead. Yet, 1Peter 1:21 says, ...God (singular) raised him up from the dead.
We can celebrate His rising within other believers' timing. However, we are to be expectant on the third day of the Passover Feast which is a one day Feast of Firstfruit.
My blessings upon. you and yours during this special time of the year.
