Partner Letter
Dear Partner,
On Easter Sunday, Dr. Violeta, my son, his wife and I went to a very large Baptist Church for service. We were hoping to hear spirit-lifting worship and praise songs from their very large choir. Because we are Pentecostals, we really did not expect to hear the type of message that a Pentecostal minister would bring.
Sadly, the music was less than inspiring and there was no spiritual exuberance from the congregation. The Minister was relatively new and young for that size church and I suspect he was chosen because of credentials. He made many scriptural errors in his message which added to the music's disappointment.
We left with a heavy spirit. The congregants probably were ignorant of what they could have received should an anointed minister brought an anointed sermon.
There was given a pastoral detached invitation appearing aimed at receiving more members than invitations for salvation. Only a following family meal salvaged an otherwise sad day.
Upon reaching our home, we did recuperate somewhat. Slowly, we settled into our own Easter reflection.
I felt that what we had experienced was multiplied in most fellowships as the Easter Day encircled the globe. My prayer is that you enjoyed a more delightful Easter reflection time than we. I was moved to ponder that Rapha has much more to accomplish in our calling to disciple the whole Body of Christ. You remain always in mine and Rapha's prayers.
Dr. Lee
