Who I am In Christ…

Because of what He has done

I am bought with a price and belong to God

1 Corinthians 6:19-20… Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

1 Corinthians 7:23… You were bought with a price; do not become bondservants of men.

To buy, be bought… to purchase in full, to own.

When we go shopping, we pay in full for that which we want to purchase. It now belongs to us to use as we want. That is the same as what Christ did for us on the Cross. Christ shed His Blood to ‘purchase’ us, to reconcile us back to God, our price was paid in full by Christs’ victory on Calvary, Hallelujah! We are no longer our own, nothing in our life defines who we are anymore, we are defined by God alone, we are His child. God owns us in full. I have heard people say that they don't like to say they are a slave to Christ, I love to say I am a slave to Christ, bonded to Him by His Blood. I have disciplined many women in many different stages of life. I always tell them that before we are a wife, daughter, mother, friend, or sister, we are God’s first, His daughter, His Beloved. If we see ourselves as first God’s, everything else in our lives will fall into place.

In Christ,
